Welcome to ADEDAMOLA SALAKO
RELOADED. Thank you for loading and running this latest
edition of my website. If you saw my debut site, I would like
to thank you for your patronage, comments, critiques and
suggestions. I do apologise for taking this long to bring you
this revamp of ADEDAMOLA SALAKO'S WEB DEBUT. This much
awaited redesign showcases concepts I have picked up over
the past few years. By popular demand, this site is still
largely a photo gallery with over 960 photographs; Pictures say a lot more than words!
The remaining content hasn't changed much. As I said in the
first edition: please sign the guest book, your appraisals are
invaluable; My curriculum vitae is posted for prospective
employers; I have listed URLs of useful Internet tools and links
to sites with similar interests as mine; The research page
shares technical information of my Telecoms & IT dissertation.
It is fervently hoped that you find this site highly edifying
and worth your while. In the opposite column is my updated
autobiography. I have carried over this feature into this sequel
because many have testified to being blessed and inspired by
this and my CV. |

About Me |
By now you would have guessed
that this is a personal web portal titled after my name.
I was born in the mid-seventies in the city of Lagos, Nigeria.
I am the second of my parents' three children. I grew up
in Ikeja, Lagos where I attended nursery & primary school
at Maryland Convent Private School, Ikeja (Class
of 1987). I then proceeded to Maryland Comprehensive
Secondary School, Ikeja, from which I transferred during
the second year, to Command Day Secondary School, Ikeja
(Class of 1993). Immediately after high school, I gained
admission into Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,
Osun State, Nigeria to study for a BSc degree in Electronics
& Electrical Engineering (Matric. 1993). Again, half
way through the second year, I left Nigeria to reside permanently
in the UK in January 1997. By September 1997 I restarted
a "thick sandwich" four-year degree course, BEng
(Hon) Electrical & Electronic Engineering, at South
Bank University, London. For the third year of the
degree,
I worked as a sandwich year industrial placement in the
Electronic Design department of TRW Aeronautical Systems
- Lucas Aerospace (now Goodrich Electronic Engine
Controls), York Road., Birmingham, UK. I graduated in June
2001 and later that September I started an EPSRC funded
Research Masters (MRes) in Telecommunications at University
College London. I am a
Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (MIEE). |

I met Tosin in February 1997 and we got
married on the 19th of April 2003 after 5 years of courtship.
We are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Oreoluwa and
Tirenioluwa. |
|
I love listening to gospel music. I am not very athletic and I love the peace and
tranquillity indoors. Socially, I engage in a bit of swimming,
soccer, bowling, snooker and pool. Once in a while, I play
computer games, chess and scrabble. I think
I like movies too. Most of my leisure is spent
creating & maintaining websites and surfing the Internet. I
am also interested in static and animated graphics design. |
|
I
am a Christian worshipping with The London Lighthouse
parish of House on the Rock church. While at Birmingham,
I fellowshipped with the River of Life Ministry.
Moving to the UK has given me a totally different perspective
to life. It's like I have been given a second chance. I
will always thank God for saving me through Christ, Jesus. I
would like to use this medium to thank God for my life, my
parents (Engr. & Mrs. Fola Salako) and my brother (Bola)
and sister (Nike). Indeed, the Lord has been faithfully and graciously good to me! |

Owing to change in ownership
and management, this website is dedicated to the only love of
my life, my wife, Oluwatosin. |

To
God be the glory! |
